With KDE/4.14 and Akonadi/1.13 branch I had it sometimes that *some*
folders are not displayed at the start of KMail. What I did so far is to
go to the IMAP settings and select "server-side subscription", confirm the
settings change, enter IMAP settings again and then deselect "server-side
subscription" and confirm again.
Then the folders re-appeared.
This is reproducable, but I didn´t come around reporting a bug yet.
But well, you said the whole account was gone. I never had this.
And for me it "just" seemed to disappear from folder list in KMail, not in
the backend.
I never had this before with 4.14.2 debian packages, so this might be a
regression. Still, in the end it works better cause KMail and Akonadi
almost don´t loose each other anymore. (Still happens with Maildir/POP3
setup quite rarely, but not with IMAP anymore).
