Prevent QSplitter from collapsing its widgets

It was rather confusing to see the checkbox "Show Calendar Manager" being
checked when the widget is actually hidden. One option would be to make the
QAction's checkboxes un-checkable when the QSplitter hides a widget, but that
would be a rather intrusive change. This one instead makes sure that users have
to go to the menu when they want to hide the widgets.
