KDE 4.10.1 on Kubuntu 12.10

MAJOR: inivisible incoming mails

one or more (most times one) incoming mail is indicated by mail notifier 
(systray icon). However in Kmail it is not seen. 

To find it you either have to restart Kmail or browse all mail folders until 
it shows up, sometimes both actions.

RESULT: I have had mail showing up by accident after several days, not good in 
a business environment

A new Kmail user would not take this but move to a client where mail is always 
shown when it arrives
