Since it does not make sense to repeat the issue of "officially" vs. reality
again, here are two blockers from me:
- do not store any kind of configuration in the cache
- removing the cache must not mess-up any configuration
Or to put it differently: stick to the common notion of a cache, i.e. as in
browser cache, thumbnail cache etc.
Robustness is key to akonadi's reputation. And robustness is not defined by
"works well if users and file system stick to the official way and terms of
usage".
