I prefer "Rich Text" for a different reason: it is shorter, and thus uses less 
horizontal space in the toolbar. That may not be true for all languages 
though.

For what it's worth, Thunderbird uses "Rich Text (HTML)" in some of its menus. 
That is too verbose for a toolbar button IMO, but it could work when used in 
the tooltip of the toolbar button.
