[Kde-pim] KMail and S/MIME cryptography

Hi,

I googled that similar problems have emerged in the past, but can't figure out
what's wrong.
I currently have 2 certificates imported in Kleopatra (from CAcert and
StartSSL). Both are shown as valid.

Next, I open KMail's dialog:
"Settings" -> "Configure KMail" -> "Identities" -> [select one] -> "Modify" ->
"Cryptography" -> "S/MIME signing certificate" -> "Change"

Nothing is shown in the list.

Next, I try encyption:

"S/MIME encryption certificate" -> "Change"

Both certificates are now shown. Keopatra says it's ok to use both certificates
not only for encryption, but for signing as well. Strange.
Anyway, if I select one of them in the list, its icon changes to red-crossed
icon and I cannot click the greyed out "OK" button. In other words,
certificates are unselectable.

Nothing relevant appears to be in .xsession-errors. Any ideas how to fix?
