Hey Christian,

i know, this topic would belong to kdepim-users... More or less ...
But since I already started it here, and more than that, the problem
seems to have some "technical nature",
I dare to continue this thread on this list .... (I promise to start the
next one on kdepim-users ;-) )

What could be wrong in my setup?

On "machine A" I have a cyrus-IMAP running.
Under my user-id, there runs akonadi + Kontact.
Kmail shows all my emails. I have configured the Kolab-resource which
created the Kolab-folders on my cyrus-IMAP account.
Kadressbook shows me all adresses stored in the Kolab-folder and
Korganizer shows me Calender, Journal and ToDo objects stored in the
Kolab folder.
So everything is fine there. I also take this as a proof that those
"imap-Annotanions" work. Am i right ??

Now on "machine B", I first configured the akonadi-IMAP resource and it
immediately showed me all my emails. :-) :-)
Then, I added the Kolab-resource too. After pressing that
"create/recover Kolab folders" button, Kadressbook shows me all the
adresses stored in "IMAP at maschine A". But Korganizer shows only
Calendar, but no Journal, ToDo or Notes objects. Kmail displays the
folders "Aufgaben", "Journal" and "Notizen" as mail-folders. I tried to
change the folder-properties for example from "email" to "Aufgaben". The
program shows me the warning that I will not see that folder again
within Kmail, but then nothing changes. Next time I open the properties
dialog, the folder "Aufgaben" has the type "email" again.
When changing the property from email->Aufgabben, akonadiconsole shows
me those "Annotation permission denied" errors.

But why does it perfectly work on "machine A" if my cyrus really
wouldn't support annotaions ????

I'm really confused with that ....

Cheers
Norbert
