[Kde-pim] IMAP resource: Sent folder is not updated correctly

Hi,

I just realised that my IMAP reosurce based Exchange Sent folder is
not being updated. In detail:

1. I have an IMAP resource configured to access my Exchange mailbox.
I'm using KDE/KDEPIM 4.8.0, on Unbuntu.

2. When I send an email, the local copy of the Sent folder is updated,
but the backend version up on Exchange does not see the new mail.

3. I get this notification in addition to the one saying "email sent ok":

<accountname>: Append failed, server replied: A000109 BAD Protocol
Error: Specified set of flags is not valid .

4. If I try to "Send Again" the copy that made it into the local Sent
folder, I see the dialog saying "please wait while the item is
fetched", a notification saying:

<accountname>: Remote id is empty or invalid

and the following errors are logged:

posting retrieval request for item 1836831  there are  1  queues and
0  items in mine
request for item 1836831 still pending - waiting
processing retrieval request for item 1836831  parts: ("RFC822")  of
resource: "akonadi_imap_resource_3"
akonadi_imap_resource_3(8050) RetrieveItemTask::doStart: Remote id is  ""
continuing
request for item 1836831 "" failed: "Resource was unable to deliver item"
ItemRetrieverException :  Resource was unable to deliver item


Note that used to work. I'm not exactly sure what changed to cause it
to stop (but I do keep up with the Ubuntu backports). I am obviously
somewhat familiar with akonadiconsole etc.: what can I do to help
track this down? (Ideally, I'd like to avoid putting a private build
on my "production" setup, but will if needed).
