I do not see any direct relation ship to KDEPIM in your mail.

Also this is the developer mailinglist for KDEPIM.

I suggest you to use the kdepim-users mailing list in case you really have 
some evidence or at least strong hint that this issue is related to 
KDEPIM. Otherwise try a more general KDE Mailing list.

Also please try to include some useful information like which processes 
using which amount of CPU time, CPU and disk utilization.
