[Kde-pim] Where do recurrences in events get saved to storage?

Hi,

I am currently trying to solve Bug 169336 ( http://bugs.kde.org/169336 ).

So far i was able to store the exceptions as DATE-TIMEs in the incidence 
itself, but they get saved as VALUE=DATE anyway. So where is the actual saving 
being done? I guess somewhere in Akonadi, but why does it save DATETIME values 
as DATE types?
