Will KMail2 be part of KDEPIM 4.6 and is it meant to be ready for production 
use? If so this can IMO lead to an user experience like KDE 4.0. I'm running the 
4.6 branch and right now there are some severe bugs:

It's also annoying that I've to authenticate (to kwallet) for every akonadi 
resource instead of only kontact.

That KMail2 is slow on folders with many mails (on AMD X6 with 8GB) isn't nice 
either but can hopefully be improved later.
