[Kde-pim] Making an Akonadi resource write to the backend

The KAlarm Akonadi single file resource doesn't save data to files when
items are created or modified. The resource is inherited from
ICalResourceBase, which is a SingleFileResource. When for example
KOrganizer creates a new ICalResource item, the backend file IS updated.
For some reason, writeToFile() is never called. I don't know whether
there's some setting which is missing, or what. Any ideas on what I may be
doing wrong?
