    Right, it can't, since the API of ETMViewStateSaver requires having a KConfigGroup. That is fine here.

    Is the member variable mBeepOnNew still needed? It could simply be removed and each instance of that replaced with GlobalSettings::self()->beepOnMail(), right?
    
    Probably the same for a lot of other settings.
