[Kde-pim] Exporting Mail from Akonadi

The day has finally come. I cannot stand Akonadi any longer, and I
*HAVE* to move away. I'm sick and tired of the thousands of "KMail
cannot modify folder" and other stupid errors. I'm sick of Akonadi
deleting my e-mails. The final straw was Akonadi deleting all the
e-mails to do with my current job hunting, after I was "let go" last
week. How am I supposed to communicate with prospective employers when I
cannot trust my own mail client to handle my mail safely properly?

So now my big question is: How do I export the last 10 years of e-mail
out of that mess and into a decent mail client? Or at least into a
common format that a decent mail client can use.

Kind regards,
