If the class is used only together with Akonadi items, why not modify it to 
take an Item. And if you have the item, probably the FIXME mentioned in the 
header file can also be fixed. And then the Akonadi namespace would also 
make sense. :)
Ah, I don't see why is this kmime related at all.
