Thanks, Thorsten. For me personally, I need these two feature requests
implemented in Kmail badly:

While as a student (with two kids!) I cannot pay for proper coding
time, I would gladly make a decent beer-cash donation to anybody who
implements them! I am using Thunderbird with the Virtual Identities
extension in the meantime, which works great but has several
disadvantages as it is not KDE-based.
