Hi!

Thanks for your quick reply!

I fear my remark about an intermediate server used for syncing was not
sufficiently clear, sorry.

The problem - my problem, to be precise - with your solution is the fact
that I do not want to use Googles (or any other third parties) services
to manage my personal contacts and schedule. I'd like to keep my really
private data private... Now you may call me paranoid, but there's
already more than enough information about me publicly available in the
net... ;)

I'd be willing to setup a personal groupware server of whatever if it's
required for syncing, but I'd prefer to avoid that as - besides wanting
to sync my mobile and my desktop - I've no real need for such a server.

Thanks for your answer anyway, it's good to hear that syncing between
Android and KDE PIM works fine using Google as a brooker.

Maybe syncing the N900 could work using a combination of Kolab or
eGroupware, SyncEvolution and the matching KDE akonadi ressources to
couple KDE PIM to one of the first two? Mh... However, using kpilot was
somehow simpler so far... ;)

Greetings,

  Gunter
