Yes, should be easy to add. Currently, we have Alt+Q for focusing quick search 
(couldn't think of a better shortcut), it should be easy to add an action that 
focuses + opens the status filter combo box. If you want to have a look at 
this, start at the KMMainWidget::createWidgets() function, that's where the 
"focus quick search" action is created, adding a "open status filter combobox" 
action would probably be very similar.
