Go ahead.
The issue might be related to this existing qt bug:
http://www.qtsoftware.com/developer/task-
tracker/index_html?id=227495&method=entry
Often the best way to report things like this to Qt Software is to try to
put a reproducable testcase together using the textedit example in the Qt
source distribution. You can probably just
svn co svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/qt-copy/demos/textedit
cd textedit
make
./textedit
And make any changes you need to to that application to reproduce the issue.

How are you reading the mailing list?
If you already have mailing list email delivered to your email address, you
can just reply to the email that comes in.
Alternatively, you can read and write to the list through KNode.
http://userbase.kde.org/Tutorials/KNode_for_mailing_lists
The name of this group on gmane is comp.kde.devel.pim.
By the way, this issue runs very deep, and looks like t won't be easy to
solve. You might fare better if you choose a different KJots bug to work on.
https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=kjots
Particularly the one about automatic numbered lists might be quick.
All the best,
Steve
