[Kde-pim] Android and KDE-PIM

Hi All,
I've just switched phone networks and been given an HTC Magic running
Android. Firstly is it possible to currently sync the contacts/
calendar with Kontact ?
If not, as a developer but someone not experienced with KDE
development or kdepim , where would i begin if i wanted to add this
functionality. Would i need to create a new android app which would
allow kde-pim access to this information ? Basically looking for some
advice about the best approach for writing this functionality.
