[Kde-pim] KDE 4.3 RC2: any disadvantages to using standard resources?

I just upgraded to the KDE 4.3 RC2 release, and Kontact imported my
std.ics and Birthday Resources into Akonadi. I am still uncomfortable
with Akonadi, will I have any problems or disadvantages to using the
std.ics and regular Birthday Resources?
