http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdepim/akonadi/resources/maildir/libmaildir/maildir.cpp, 
look at Maildir::addEntry(), which calls createUniqueFileName(), which in turn 
calls QUuid::createUuid().
So the Akonadi resource currently does not use the maildir file naming scheme, 
only the directory naming scheme.
