Hi,

What about allowing more than one word in highlighted text (I'm talking about 
plain text messages which are rendered with some highlights in KMail)?
For example, it renders this *word* in bold, but theses *two words* are 
normal.

BTW, the current implementation doesn't render well words containing 
diacritics such as /déception/ .

Finally, why do highlighted words must be followed by a space ? I think it may 
also be followed by a punctuation _mark_.

I joined a small patch which should solve all these issues.
I did not tested it! (I’m too lazy to build kmail from trunk…)
