[Kde-pim] syncing kontact with kontact?

not sure if this is the right venue for this, but i've been looking (for a couple of years now) for a way to sync kontact (specifically, the std.ics file) running on one computer (my desktop) with another (laptop).  i'd like to have the file local on both computers if possible.  it seems like with all of the platforms that kontact can sync with, it should be able to sync with itself...
