As I am not a developer but a user, I must say that a PIM application
with no summary page is like a book without a cover. I personally
think that the Kontact Summary page was lacking, and I've filed bugs
on it, so I will not miss it if it is gone. However, I feel that it
will give the appearance of a very unfinished application in the eyes
of many users.

That said, I am aware that the KDEPIM project has very limited
resources available and cannot improve everything.
