[Kde-pim] ics read only files

For KOgranizer I wanted to create an *.ics file that was read only.  I am
able to create the calendar from from  an external application and the
events show up in KOgranizer, but it does know that it is a ready only file
and will let the user edit contents as if they had permission,. Only when
they close the dialog they they get an error message.

Is there a prefered way to use a calendar that is read only,
