[Kde-pim] Setting Time in Kontact

I am trying to use Kontact in Mepis 7.0, but I am having problems with 
setting time.  Kontact runs 7 hours ahead of system time and nothing I 
have been able to do will put them in sync.

Has this problem been reported previously?  If so, is there a solution?
