[Kde-pim] KMail wrong message ordering with order-of-arrival

Hi,

In my setup (KMail and a dovecot IMAP server) I see incorrect
ordering of messages when selecting order-of-arrival in the
Date column.

Can anyone explain what KMail is using to do the ordering? Is
it perhaps my dovecot server that gives the wrong message date?

I can't see any logic why KMail is placing some messages completely
out of order. (Not related to arrival date, file date, of date header.)

I can supply screenshots to show it, and message contents, and file
dates.
