Fixing little annoyances is always a good starting point, as one becomes 
acquainted with the codebase and it's also rewarding. So yes, this is a good 
way to start :)

I'll leave it to korganizer devels to judge this particular change (btw., 
screenshots always help to get feedback from lazy developers when it comes to 
UI changes ;) ). 
Just a little note about patches: Send a .diff ('svn diff' gives you that) of 
your changes instead of complete files. I assume this also requires changes 
in koeditorgeneral.cpp?
