[Kde-pim] Kontact sidebar?

I don't like the term "Kontact sidebar" since it is very unspecific, 
i.e. this term does not convey the purpose of the sidebar.

Microsoft calls this thing "Navigation Pane" [1], but in Outlook this 
pane also includes the folder list, so the term probably doesn't apply 
to the "area within the red rectangle". The buttons are called "view 
buttons" since they allow switching between the different views.

BTW, is "sidebar" actually the proper word for this? The definition 
of "sidebar" on Merriam-Webster Online [1] does not include anything 
like the "area within the red rectangle". "Pane" seems to be a much 
better word and we do already use this term when referring to the 
preview pane in KMail.

"View Pane" is probably not a good alternative, but I think "View" is a 
good term for the thing right of the sidebar. "Component" is too 
technical. "View Switcher", "View Selector", "View Chooser"?

In German I'd probably call it "Ansichtsauswahlleiste". :-)

Hmm, what about "View Bar"?
