[Kde-pim] building 4.1 akonadi-kde lib against kdesupport

the 4.1 branch of kdepimlibs/akonadi will not build against trunk/kdesupport.

should it?
can ifdef's be put into the code to make it compile?

toma says to use branch/kdesupport, but is the correct answer?
