I just completed a clean build, i.e. removed install prefix and started with 
building qt-copy, then some of the stuff from kdesupport (including Akonadi 
of course), kdelibs, kdebase, kdepim.

Currently rebuilding playground/pim and no errors so far.

Can you check if you get an error or warnings when you do make install in 
kdepim/build/akonadi/kcal?
