Not at all. So what. What is "Apple" named after? A fruit? How is being
a fruit anywhere seen as related to being a computer company?
We wouldn't have taken the name of a god/goddess of war, but a "goddess
of justice" is surely okay to be named after.

Some of the reasons (AFAIR) were:
- The term "Akonadi" was new, i.e. it was not used by others for
computer related protocols, systems, applications, etc. while many of
the other proposals were already taken.
- We couldn't come up with a cool fitting term for common PIM data
access interface and cache (CPIMDAIAC?) like Solid for hardware
abstraction or Phonon for an audio system or those terms were already
taken.
- We all kind of liked the sound of "Akonadi".
- "Akonadi" can be easily pronounced in most languages (no complicated
phonems). (I think I just made that one up. :-) )
- And, last but not least, and with tongue in cheek: It contains
a 'K' ;-)

Ingo
