...which may get automatically done by a different process, or may have 
already been done manually.  The KMail version number for the 
soon-to-be-released KDE 3.5.8 (in tags/KDE/3.5.8/kdepim/kmail/kmversion.h) is 
still set to "1.9.7", if this stays the same then it will cause confusion in 
bug reporting.  I assume that the version number is intended to increment 
with each release?
