No, it should not be deleted, I have 2 folders, Drafts (get's deleted) and
Templates (get's reused).

Then they are not in the "real" template folder, since I do see my templates
there.
Do you store then in your "local folders" under "templates" (or the
translation of these names) and does the folder have a special "new page"
icon?

That's exactly how it works, and yes I like to use it as such as well. Though
I don't use the menu, I just select the template folder and double click the
mail in there. (but that's just a useability thing)
The weird thing is that if I understand correctly you use "Save as Template"
and that should place it in the right location for you.
I'm at Akademy on the moment so I will see if I can ask Till (on of the kmail
developers) what could cause such a thing.
