Some months ago we already had some ideas about how to interact all this. I 
also talked with some guys from OpenSync, the best idea was to have a 
OpenSync backend for kmobiletools, so that it could act like a gui.
The main problem was, and still is, developers availability. I'm almost alone, 
and i was busy until now, and partially i still am. I'll try to reorganize 
myself these days for developing (and not only), i also received some offers 
about helping the project, so i still keep an eye on this topic, while i'll 
also try to release the second beta for kde 3.x
