It *has* been reported to work, yes.

Might be. You could set the Datebook application to not be backed up (add it 
to the "skip list" in the configuration dialog), but that might not be a good 
idea. Alternatively, make sure that (a) you have pilot-link 0.12.1 (b) you 
have KPilot compiled from recent sources. That seems to fix a lot of stuff.
