Forget it - sorry.

It's not libperleditor.so related.

Qt does a:
XCreateFontSet(dpy, fontsetnames[i], &missList, &missCount, 0);
with fontsetnames[i]= "-*-fixed-medium-i-*-*-16-*,-*-*-medium-i-*-*-16-*"
in getFontSet in qinputcontext_x11.cpp

and despite:

$ xlsfonts -fn "-*-fixed-medium-i-*-*-16-*"
xlsfonts: pattern "-*-fixed-medium-i-*-*-16-*" unmatched
$ xlsfonts -fn "-*-*-medium-i-*-*-16-*"
- -dustin-dustismo roman-medium-i-normal-bold italic-16-0
- -dustin-dustismo roman-medium-i-normal-italic-16-0
- -dustin-dustismo-medium-i-normal- italic-16-0
- -freefont-freemono-medium-i-normal-oblique-16-0
- -freefont-freesans-medium-i-normal-oblique-16-0
- -freefont-freeserif-medium-i-normal-italic-16-0
- -ttf-arial-medium-i-normal-italic-16-0
- -ttf-courier new-medium-i-normal-italic-16-0
- -ttf-georgia-medium-i-normal-italic-16-0
- -ttf-times new roman-medium-i-normal-italic-16-0
- -ttf-trebuchet ms-medium-i-normal-italic-16-0
- -ttf-verdana-medium-i-normal-italic-16-0

I still get a SIGSEGV <sigh>

Sorry for the noise :)

One thing I noticed doing this is that the preferences doesn't seem to
save the styles for the perl editor - is this a known issue in CVS at
the moment??

David
