[Kde-nonlinux] Linux Show

Leo on KFI, said there's going to be a show all about Linux in Southern Calif.  where is it?  I'm very eager to move away Windows.  Ordered Mephis, very old ver., still waiting.  Help!  An old dos user, so I don't mine typing in commands.  Is there a "Linux for Dummies book",  the help online is too huge a new comer to Linux.
