[Kde-nonlinux] wrong Keyboard when using KDM

Hi,
 
im using KDE 3 on AIX 4.3.3.
The System-Language is US_English
The keyboard layout is German (with ö,ä....)
 
When I start kdm the keyboard layout is set to US!!! (without ö, ä ...)
When i use the KDM i cannot use ö,ä,ü letter, and after starting KDE i also
connot use öäüöü.
 
How can I configure KDM not to change the keyboard layout.
(If I use KDM for starting CDE it does not change the keyboard layout)
