Hi,

Sorry if this is OT.

Steps to install QT:

- downloaded qt3.2.0, pre-req for kde.
- Set the paths required in .profile for root
- ran: ./configure -thread
- worked ok, ran: make
- not so good, after a short while this error spits out:

dialogs/qfiledialog.cpp: In method 'void QFileDialog::setDir(const
Qstring &)':
dialogs/qfiledialog.cpp:3164: implicit declaration of function 'int
getpwnam_r(...)'
dialogs/qfiledialog.cpp:3164 warning: cannot pass objects of type
'QCString' through '...'
Error code 1

Stop in /usr/local/qt/src (line 11567 of Makefile).
*** Error code 1

*** Error code 1

Any ideas? Should I email Trolltech?

Thanks in newbieness :P
Sean
