Interestingly I was just compiling qt3 kde3b2 when I read this thread so I 
thought it was going to save me a headache (Since the qt on the german mirror 
did not have the same readme and oz is kaput)  but Noooo! that would be to 
much to ask...
QT compiles fine but kdelibs in beta2 falls over with not finding the right 
type STL and telling me that I must have forgotten to install stdc++-devel 
(silly me!) . So if it doesn use STL then I really wish it wouldn look for it 
and then tell me that I dont have packages that I certainly do. I would 
imagine that to be incredibly confusing for people unfamiliar with the 
vagaries that configure and make files produce.  (OK lets not beat around the 
bush, its not vagaries its plain unadulterated LIES! Its A CONSPIRACY I TELL 
YOU!!! .....as they drag a sobbing akar back to the asylum for more 'rest')
