RELEASE: GStreamer Core and Plugins 1.0.10

The GStreamer project announces another bug-fix release for the new
API and ABI-stable 1.x series of the GStreamer multimedia framework.

The 1.x series is a stable series targeted at end users. It is not API
or ABI compatible with the 0.10.x series. It can, however, be installed
in parallel with the 0.10.x series and will not affect an existing
0.10.x installation.

1.0.x is our current bug-fix only release series released from the 1.0
branch in git, while 1.1.x is our current development series released
from git master where bigger code changes may happen and new features
and new API is added.

GStreamer core changes since 1.0.9:

  * parse: make gst-launch syntax parser work with Bison 3
  * memory: only copy the requested part instead of the complete source
memory for default system memory
  * queue2: update buffering when changing capacity
  * g-i: add bindings-friendly buffer.extract() function
  * g-i: miscellaneous gobject-introspection annotation fixes (queries,
pipeline)

GStreamer core bugs fixed since 1.0.9:

  * 705630 : directcontrolbinding: Wrong behaviour of control bindings
with properties that span +-INT_MAX
  * 705678 : sysmem allocator copies too much
  * 705751 : gst_pipeline_use_clock: clock should allow-none
  * 706462 : parse: fix build with Bison 3

GStreamer Plugins Base changes since 1.0.9:

  * rtpbasedepayload: mark discontinuities after packet loss properly
  * audioconvert: if we have to lose precision, try to lose as little
precision as possible
  * gio: fix very inefficient data cache handling

GStreamer Plugins Base bugs fixed since 1.0.9:

  * 655727 : rtp: segfault in gst_rtcp_packet_get_rb()
  * 705415 : gio: incredibly inefficient when playing mp3s from smb
servers
  * 706624 : audioconvert: Converts S32LE to S8 although S16LE would be
possible too

GStreamer Plugins Good changes since 1.0.9:

  * qtdemux: add variant field to H.263 caps, fixing H.263 playback
  * flvdemux: memory leak fix
  * goom: fix issue with caps writability

GStreamer Plugins Good bug fixes since 1.0.9:

  * 705142 : flvdemux: leaks stream_id string
  * 705475 : goom: negotiation fails when sink has ANY caps
  * 705477 : directsoundsink: Glitches when playing S8
  * 706422 : jpegenc is sending wrong buffer on specific
input/resolution

GStreamer Plugins Ugly changes since 1.0.9:

  * build: fix x264 version check in corner case
  * x264enc: consider subset relations of profiles when negotiating
output caps

GStreamer Plugins Ugly bugs fixed since 1.0.9:

  * 705425 : x264enc: doesn't consider subset relations of profiles
during negotiation

GStreamer Plugins Bad changes since 1.0.9:

  * build: fix bz2 configure check on Windows
  * interaudiosrc: make silence memory actually contain silence
  * neonhttpsrc: allow building with neon-0.30
  * rtpvp8depay: mark key frames and delta frames properly
  * pcapparse: fix double unref causing criticals and/or crashes
  * mpegvideoparse: fix level detection

GStreamer Plugins Bad bugs fixed since 1.0.9:

  * 465924 : bzip2 not built while it is present and usuable
  * 705957 : pcapparse: crash due to bad unref
  * 706369 : videoparser/mpegvideoparse: bad switch statements
  * 705550 : rtpvp8depay: mark key frames and delta frames properly

GStreamer Libav Plugins changes since 1.0.9:

  * Fix bz2 configure check for Windows
