Phonon problems in Debian

Hello,

mainly i want to reach Matthias Kretz, because i think he can help to 
explain how phonon works.
Maybe he can participate at the Debian-Forum or i will forward any 
knowledge.

There are many problems to get the sound working in Debian based 
distributions.
As example i will refer to my bug-report at Debian:

There are many similiar problems reported in the forum.

I think the basic problem is how to configure a correct standard output 
device for KDE?
