phonon and kio support

hi,

while playing around with my pet project, kio_magnet 
(trunk/playground/ioslaves/kio_magnet) i have found out that

a) only phonon-xine works with kio here for me
b) dragon player does not work with kio while phononplay does
c) html5 video works with phonon-xine+kio in khtml, but not in recent 
qtwebkit, while qtwebkit works with gst (and is supposed to work with vlc?) 
with vanilla http sources.

i hope that the vlc backend can be fixed, as it would allow to use 
magnet://urls for video on mac and windows, too, hopefully.
