Just as an observation, this scheme (using PulseAudio and libcanberra)
was also what was suggested by me regarding loading a bunch of small
samples and playing them without too much delay, specifically for KDE
games. In this context I was talking specifically about a game like
Kapman, where there is a sound for each pill you eat. Currently the
experience is not good as you typically hear the sound of one pill while
you are eating the other :)
So it appears that Colin validates this advice, wondering if there is a
way to hook this up into Phonon somehow.
