Summary: Hardware volume control does not work
           Product: kdemultimedia
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kde-multimedia at kde.org
        ReportedBy: tomas.sandala at gmail.com

Version: 6:4.3.1-1.fc11 (using KDE 4.3.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

At my laptop (Toshiba Tecra A9) I have a hardware volume controller to adjust
the level of the sound. This volume controller does not work - I can't turn
up/down the level of the sound with it. When I use it, pop-up progress bar
appears, but it is always 0% level and does not change. Also KMix icon reports
sound to be at 0% level. I can hear sound pretty loudly, the problem is that I
can't change the level of the sound.
