Thanks for the patch. The fix is correct. (BTW, this has worked before. It's 
one of the regressions introduced with the API changes done last time I was 
in Oslo.)

kde-multimedia is alive (but low-volume), but there's also 
phonon-backends at kde.org. This patch is on-topic on both lists, though.
