Problems with ID3 tags

Hello,
I use the audiocd kioslave to rip CDs and encode to mp3.
The filenames are taken from the CDDB and appear to be enocded correctly. (for 
example the accents in the spanish versiion of Shakira - Fijacion Oral). But 
the ID3 tags seem to have a problem with the encoding, amarok and my iPod 
nano for example show titles that look like that:  Escondite inglés

id3info shows correct title on the command line:

florian at horus ~/Desktop/Musik/Lieder/Shakira/Shakira - Fijacion Oral $ id3info 
Shakira\ -\ Escondite\ inglés.mp3
