Sound on Mandriva Linux not working on web sites

Recently I used Amarok and ever since then I am unable to get sound on
web sites. It used to work fine.  Perhaps one thing has nothing to do
with the other. I am not sure.

I do have sound at boot up and exit. Also, I have sound playing CDs and even
on Amarok. Just no sound when playing a streaming video, for example on the
Internet.
Also, when I start Amarok I get an error "Could not read /Wav" ,
although it does play.

Any suggestions on what is going on?
